Privacy Policy

This policy covers WordHatch and its sister games WordHatch Speed and WordHatch Memory (together, “WordHatch”), which are word games made by BulbGlow. It explains what information is collected when you play or buy a pack, and how it is used.
Playing the game
You do not need an account to play WordHatch, and the free levels can be played without giving us any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address or other personal details inside the game.
Information stored on your device
WordHatch may save simple settings and progress, such as which levels you have unlocked, in your browser’s storage on your own device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data may remove it.
Buying a pack
The Starter Pack, Master Pack and bundles are optional one-off purchases, with no subscription. Purchases are processed by Gumroad. When you buy, Gumroad collects the details it needs to complete the order, such as your email address, name, country and payment information. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Gumroad’s own privacy policy explains how it uses your information.
Advertising
WordHatch does not display third-party advertising and does not use advertising cookies.
Analytics
WordHatch does not currently use third-party analytics tools to track players.
Hosting and server logs
The game is delivered through a web hosting provider (Netlify), which may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use these logs to identify individual players.
Children’s privacy
WordHatch is suitable for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who have concerns about a child’s use of the game or a purchase are welcome to contact us.
Third-party links
WordHatch links to Gumroad for purchases, and to other BulbGlow sites such as TimeTutor. These sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
